There are some many options for choosing fabric to make a super tote! Betsy and I joked about having a “Tote-Off”, a contest/challenge to see who would make the best tote. Nothing official, just a friendly thing to show off our choices. However I am taking off before she gets a chance to notice!
I have always loved our Art Gallery fabric, Ruby Glam. I suggested it to my niece for the Seashore Sundress, but I guess it wasn’t pink enough for the taste of a 4-year old! I have decided that will be my main fabric, for the exterior and pockets.
I also have a soft spot for mustard/ochre yellows. I will be using the Art Gallery Lace Element in Ochre for the gusset.
For the lining, I wanted something a bit quieter. I am going with the Art Gallery Oval Elements in Silver Drops.
I had some fabric left over from the sundress project, Ashen Rose in Smoke which I will be using for the inside side of the straps.
Here is what they look like all together! I think they will make a GREAT Super Tote.
I snuck a zipper into the photo above. I want to keep everything secure in my Super tote. Maybe you didn’t know that we have some zippers in stock. They are plastic coils zippers with metallic finishes. I think the bright silver one will look best with my lining fabric.
What fabric would you use to make your Super Tote?
