My niece landed from Spain on Saturday. Before she landed my mother put some doubt in my mind that I had made the sundress in the wrong size… She thought the sundress was going to be too small. Lo and behold, the size was ok. Not a ton of space to spare. It will probably only be worn this summer.
Here a few images of her modeling her new Seashore sundress!
She started off a bit shy!
Then she warmed up!
I asked for a view of the back. It feels like this pose has a lot of attitude!
She followed up with some twirling.
And a finale!
Overall I think she is pleased with it. I know her mom is too!
I have taken note of the sizing because I would like to make the Birthday Party Dress for her! Her mom (my sister) has mentioned that dresses can be a bit challenging because when she gets nervous, there is a tendency to pull them up. I am thinking I might shorten the Birthday Party dress into a tunic. I was inspired by a post I saw on the Oliver + S Facebook page which lead me to Sewing Our Sanity’s post. Not only did Emily explain how to shorten the dress to a tunic, she also added a capped sleeve! I am very tempted! I guess that is one more project to add to the list!
