The 2nd Reveal Day for the 7th Bead Soup Blog party has been delayed. Unfortunately Lori got sick, but she is doing better now. So the 2nd is next week (April 13th) and 3rd reveal a week after that (April 20th). I really enjoyed looking around to see what everyone else has done with there soup! There are some REALLY great projects out there.
I wan to thank everyone who took the time to comment on my reveal! It was mentioned that I did have a picture of the full necklace. So I thought I was post one for you to see!
Also I wanted to mention, the very lovely wire wrapping on the focal was done by my partner, Alicia! It is a really great piece! Take a look around to see what was posted on the First Reveal last week.
About the beaded beads, they are quite simple. They were made using a peyote stitch. I use Nymo thread and Czech seed beads ,size 10 and 11, which give them a bit more texture because they are slightly different sizes! They are 18 beads wide (you could make them longer or shorter) and I stitched 12 rows. I could have done 10, but I thought that would be too skinny. I find these simple beaded beads work up pretty quickly and add a lot to a piece. You can also play around with different bead sizes. Sizes 13 and 15 will give you something more delicate and size 8 will give you something more chunky.
We will be posting SuperDuos to our site soon. Those are 2 hole seed beads. The measure 2.5X5mm. I will work up some beaded beads with those to show you!
